More Than a Meal
We launched our More Than A Meal program in November 2021 to provide meals and hygiene products to unhoused individuals in Downtown Fayetteville, NC. Initially, our efforts began with a small team of three members, preparing 10 meals and distributing a limited number of hygiene items. By February 2022, we significantly expanded our capacity, increasing our weekly meal output to approximately 50-70 meals. Our success in the Downtown area has fostered a dedicated group of over 20 volunteers who actively participate in our mission. In addition, we have organized special More Than A Meal events that partner with various organizations to deliver essential services, including mental health support, flu vaccinations, COVID testing, job resources, and housing assistance.​​​

Our hunger relief programs provide nutritious meals, while our educational initiatives offer tutoring, school supplies, and scholarships to transform lives. We ensure access to clean water through our water well projects and build essential structures like schools and mosques to foster community cohesion. Our Sponsored Iftar program during Ramadan creates welcoming environments for breaking fast, and we provide health and wellness services in partnership with local organizations. Additionally, we respond to crises with emergency relief and encourage community involvement through volunteer opportunities.
